Dog walking packages: 10-packs and 30-packs that save
If your dog is walked twice a week or more, single walks are the expensive way to do it. This page lays out the full price list, shows the saving on each pack, and helps you decide between a 10-pack and a 30-pack based on how your dog's week actually runs, from the Rockport line commute to a Cape Ann summer schedule.

Single walks are $25, $35 and $55; packs bring each walk down by 10 to 15 percent
There are three walk lengths and three ways to pay for them. A single 20-minute walk is $25, a 30-minute walk is $35 and a 60-minute walk is $55. A 10-pack is $225, $315 and $495: you pay for nine and get the tenth, so the saving is exactly one walk, $25, $35 or $55 depending on the length. A 30-pack is $637, $892 and $1,402, against $750, $1,050 and $1,650 at the single rate, a saving of roughly 15 percent.
Packs are sold by length: a 10-pack of 30-minute walks is ten 30-minute walks. Pick the length your dog actually needs on most days rather than the one you might want on a Saturday, and ask the front desk before assuming lengths can be mixed within a pack. If your dog's needs are genuinely mixed, a pack of the everyday length plus the occasional single long walk usually costs less than a pack of the longer walk.

Buy the 10-pack to test the routine and the 30-pack once it is part of the week
The 10-pack is the right first purchase for almost everyone. It covers two walks a week for five weeks, or one walk on each commuting day for a fortnight, long enough to learn whether your dog is calmer in the evening and whether the noon window suits your household. It is also the sensible buy for a seasonal need: the weeks after surgery, the stretch when a puppy is too young for daycare, or a summer when Cape Ann traffic turns your own lunch-hour walk into a fantasy.
The 30-pack is for the dog whose walk is a fixture. Five walks a week uses it in six weeks; three a week stretches it to ten. At about 15 percent off it is the cheapest way to buy a Dogtown walk, and it takes the decision out of each week. It suits the Rockport line commuter with a set schedule, the household with a senior dog who needs a daily leash walk it can no longer wait for, and anyone who has already gone through two 10-packs and knows the walk is staying.

How it works
Evaluation first, then the pack in the app, then a schedule the front desk holds
Every walking dog completes Dogtown's free evaluation before the first walk: a temperament test and a few supervised hours in a group at 210 Eastern Ave in Gloucester, on a weekday between 6:30 and 9:30 AM by appointment. It needs Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella on file and a current city dog license. Once your dog is cleared, the 10-packs and 30-packs are sold in the Dogtown app, available on the App Store and Google Play, and single walks can be booked online or arranged with the front desk.
Then you set the routine: which days, which length, the window you need, and how the walker gets in. The front desk holds the schedule and your walker works from it. Each completed walk comes with a photo and a short note, and the front desk can tell you how many walks remain. Ask about the current terms on pack expiry and cancellations before you buy.

What you get
Every walk in a pack is the same walk: solo, by Dogtown staff, reported back to you
A pack does not buy a cheaper version of the service. Each walk is one dog with one walker, a member of the certified Dogtown team that runs our playgroups and has read your dog's evaluation. The route is matched to your dog's age and fitness and to the day: shorter and careful of salted paws in a Gloucester January, shaded and slower when summer pavement is hot, with a tick check from April to November after any walk through grass.
After each walk you get a photo and a few lines: where they went, how your dog did, anything worth knowing. Over a 30-pack that becomes a useful record of your dog's fitness and mood across a season. If anything changes, a limp, a new fear of a particular corner, a dog who is suddenly frantic at the door, you hear about it the same day.

Coverage
Ask us whether we cover your address before you buy a pack
Walking coverage runs out from Eastern Ave and changes with the season. Summer on Cape Ann, with beach traffic and the rotaries backed up, and deep winter, with nor'easters and short days, both shrink what a midday round can reach. We do not publish a service map for walks because it would mislead someone for half the year. Ask us whether we cover your address, tell us the days you need, and we will answer plainly before you spend anything on a pack.
If walks are not possible where you live, Dogtown daycare with the Pup Van is the alternative for many households: $10 each way for pick-up and drop-off in Rockport, Gloucester, Essex and Manchester-by-the-Sea, with 5- and 10-packs on daycare days too. Some dogs end up with a mix, daycare on the long days and a walk from the door on the short ones, and the front desk can build that around your week.
